Family Photo

Family Photo (minus Tim)

Here is the whole family in Time Square, except for Tim who was taking the shot. (My dad looks mean, eh? He isn't. He is just a big cuddly ball of silliness - he just has his "NY Bodyguard" face on.) We played a little bit in the city; I got to take my mom to Toys 'r' Us to see the giant lego Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building, also the Barbie house and Candyland. It was really neat to have us all together for a bit.

We didn't stay long in the city, though. My momma started feeling really awful (like passing out kind of bad) with dizzy spells and nerve tingling and panic sweats, soon after we took this picture. So we split up and Dad, Tim, and I took her to the emergency room back in Westchester. About 5 hours later, they still didn't know what caused her whoosy-ness, but she is feeling better. One of the nurses in the ER said that it may have been subway fumes (if they shut the system down for a while, the fumes are really strong when it starts back up). And since this was the first day of subway use after the ridiculous strike (yes, I said ridiculous), then maybe that had something to do with her bizarre reaction. Anyways, they ran all kinds of tests on her and they turned out looking pretty decent. So send some happy thoughts and prayers her way so she can enjoy the rest of her trip with her babies.

(As a side note, this is a better shot of my hair... like it?)

Suzy, I'm so glad your family can be with you in the Big Apple during this season. I hope your mom feels much better?
We know about Skype, but I did not know Chris & Rach was using it. I'll have to move on the info...
I absolutely love their dog... Andy a friend of ours was in South Africa, and told us Chris called Guiness Babatjie, baby in Afrikaans. I hope they love it in South Africa. I know Christmas without their family must be hard. Martin & I are in the same situation...
Merry Christmas Suzy & Tim... may Jesus be your center in 2006!
