Pet Peeves...
Tonight's list of peeves:
- Really. Slow. Computers. Ack.
- Snow flurries without the possibility of delayed work openings.
- Fox News. (No, I don't watch it... I was watching 24 and forgot to turn off the TV.)
- Remote Access Databases. Yes, they are remote and yes, they are databases. But there is no access to be had. (This is false advertising at it's finest.)
- And the biggest peeve of all... Librarians that say "Li-berry" instead of "Library." What the crap?!? Do they think that is cute? Can I just say, "WHY are you in this profession if you can't even pronounce where you work?!?" Honestly.

your avatar looks a lot like mine...go figure! Amen I say to liberry and Fox News.
Have a wonderful day!
I know what you mean about Liberry. As the guy in My Blue Heaven says "It hurts my ears." I think it may be a local dialect, kinda like saying Warshington. I caught hell for that when I moved to the D.C. area, I don't say it like that anymore.
When I was in school, they used to have films about the library, and the dewey decimal system, starring the animate characters Li and Berry.
They were cute. anyone else remember those? or is just a Canadian thing?
Heh! That sounds hilarious, Useless. If you ever find out what they were called, let me know!
