2. Johnson City, TN - This is where Tim and I had our first house. It is at once, the birthplace of country music (Carter Family) and the National Storytelling Festival, and the one place that actually tried to hang a mad elephant (in Erwin, yeah - for real!). 3. New York CITY - (read: NOT Westchester, however) There is always something new to do in the City. Even as touristy as I am, I will never exhaust the sites here! 4. Staunton, VA - I love visiting my folks because this place is great. I especially like seeing Shakespeare at the Blackfriars Playhouse (seriously talented folks). 5. San Antonio, TX - Ummm, mariachi every night and tacos for breakfast - need I say more?!? 6. St. Augustine, FL - My aunt had a swanky beach house out here. (I have pictures of us, with the Tudors, sporting horrendous t-shirt tans and fishing poles. These will not be posted here. Ever.) 7. Washington, D.C. - I got to spend a week here my senior year in HS, thus beginning my lifelong passion for touristy activity. I got to lunch with the Supreme Court, ride the underground subway beneath Capitol Hill, and tour the Pentagon (not to mention getting out of school for a whole week). All in the name of "Close-Up." 8. Boulder, CO - Tim and I honeymooned in CO. I could totally live there some day. 9. Boston, MA - What an awesome town. (I am a sucker for historical places, I know!) Tim and I had an amazing time seeing this city's sites. 10. Cincinnati, OH - Cincinnati is a hip place where you can get some mad, crazy deals (Gap Distribution Center Outlet - Ahh Yeah). Not only that, you can get some great music here as well as see the "Superfriends" headquarters (they modeled the cartoon building after this museum!). 11. Chicago, IL - I was here during the "Cows on Parade." 12. Nashville, TN - Who else besides Tennesseans would erect a full-scale model of the Parthenon (besides the Athenians)?!? 13. Atlanta, GA - And finally, who could forget the college days? The Dwarf House, anyone? I would pay a whoping $20 for a Chick-fil-a sandwich right now. Links to other Thursday Thirteens! Ladybug... I have never been to any of those places, except Atlanta but it doesn't really count because it was just at the airport for a layover. I would like to see NYC and Washington, D.C. (my daughter is going there this spring) and Chicago.

Oh wow, I live like 45 mins from Atlanta. I absolutely love Nashville. I'm dying to go to DC!! I wanna go soo bad. I really want to see Boston too. I can't find anyone who wants to go with me though. Where is a good man when you could use one? LOL Happy TT!
Savannah...I want to visit so bad! Do you know Paula Deen? :P
I love visiting my friends in NYC and Nashvegas...but Johnson City and Cinci...great little places. Johnson City is beautiful! Cincinatti rocks! LOVE the GAP outlet right outside of Cincinnati (in KY). It is awesome. Most of my highschool/college wardrobe was courtesy of the outlet.
My 13 are up!...late!
We went to the Dwarf House in Duluth, GA last August while we were on vacation. The kids had a ball playing with the teeny door in the front. I had never been to one. It was so nice to have our nuggets delivered to our table!! :)
