I love the song "Wild Horses" - it was the song that Buffy and Angel danced to at prom. (Yep, I'm a Buffy nerd). I want to dance to it at my wedding with my hubby, should that day ever come!

Suzy,
I wanted to email you this, but I couldn't find an email (which is probably a good thing). I found your blog this morning very accidentally by searching quite randomly for the term "Happy Birthday" and I'm really happy I did. I think it was a God thing or something because it really uplifted me this morning. I was going to type and tell you that, and then I got busy. I just got back from lunch and was flipping through my browser screens to close them and I saw your top 13 All-Time songs and I was at THAT moment listening to your number 5 (Burning down the house by Tom Jones and the Cardigans) and I thought it was so serendipitous that I had to at least leave you a note.
I wanted to say that I cruised through a little of your blog and then also your Flickr site and I just think you are an exceptionally neat chick. Can I say chick? Are guys allowed to call girls/women that? I mean it totally in a "I think you are really cool" kind of way. Anyway, this is all very odd to me. I've probably never left anyone a message like this. I'm stepping out of my box today.
In looking through your Flickr site, what really hit me about you is the set of pictures of you in different places where you've traveled. I just loved it! I love to travel and I was jealous as hell. Then, the more I looked at the pictures, I realized that you are married (the double ring on the left hand in one pic gave it away - and then I saw the wedding pics.. so it was confirmed) and I realized something. I realized that you are being photographed in those pictures by your husband most likely. It then hit me why you were so radiant. It was your love for the camera-man shining through and likewise, his perfect capturing of your spirit in it's most beautiful forms showed how much he loved you as well. The pictures are exceptional and you can tell a loving hand framed them and captured those great moments.
I'm kind of rambling and you might find me really weird, but I hope not. I just felt a strange/weird connection and thought how much I wish my wife and I had been able to travel and see and do the things that you have done before our life "got busy". We ended up getting married and jumped on the train toward 'normaldom' that is jobs, moving, more jobs, careers, kids and being a family, etc. I just wish we had been able to spend a few years traveling and seeing and experiencing some great places together like you have done with your husband during our youth.
So, there you go. It was a little personal, and long and that's why I wanted to email it to you instead of posting it where it might get lost in the sea of comments on your page.. either way, I hope you at least realize that taking a little peek into your life made me smile for some reason. Thanks for that.
Reading the things you've written and reading about you just makes me wish you were one of my friends. You're reading tastes are probably a little high-brow for me :), but I love to read at least and having a librarian as a friend would really come in handy.
Also, you have got to be the cutest librarian ever!
Thanks again, and keep blogging!
Brad
I love that whole crossing the universe song thingy to B)

To answer your question in my 13: Box jellyfish are huge. And deadly. Not a fun part of a tropical Aussie summer.
Thanks for visiting my 13.
Wow, I don't know many of these songs...Maybe if I heard them I would recognize them!! Thanks for stopping by my TT
I'm always fascinated when I see anothers fave music list. Mostly because it's so different to mine. But then that's the fun of the TT, eh? :)
