Thursday Thirteen #18
Thirteen things I'd like to do/learn in the next five years are:- To learn how to type. Real fast.
- Visit South Africa. I want to see Rachel and Cape Town.
- Have a kid. Yep, I said it.
- Lose 20 pounds. Well, at least five.
- Read Brothers Karamazov.
- Learn how to cook 5 solid meals (to impress my mother-in-law).
- Find new (non-apartment) living quarters. I need a yard.
- Visit New Zealand. I want to see Narnia and The Shire.
- Learn to speak Spanish (even though I don't want to).
- Find a cool couple to hang out with. We need couple friends!
- Redesign my website. Any suggestions?
- Rework my thesis and see if Shakespeare Quarterly will publish...
- Finish my European Vacation scrapbook!

I love to cook. Tonight I'm just making grilled chicken nachos, though. Catch me on Chicken Pot Pie, Baked Ham, or Beef Stroganoff night. I am happy to share recipes.
This is a fun list. I recently made a list of things I want to do in the next five years myself (when I hit a big b-day) and having a baby was on my list as well.

This is a cool list! I'm learning Spanish right now, it's not too bad. Do you need it for your job or something? :-)
The Lovely Bones is kind of sad, but actually kind of happy, too. It's hard to explain. You end up feeling OK when you're done, because the main character is OK. Did that make sense?
Good 13! But why learn Spanish, learn Swedish or Dutch - that'll impress your friends! Viggo Mortensen fra LOTH speaks Danish - and luckily - so do I! :)

Dear! Spanish is a beautiful language... it may not be the most romantic-sounding language (ie: French, which particularly turns me on when spoken by a girl lol), but it's fun and not so difficult (you can always give Japanese a shot if you wanted to show off a little, but I personally regret it *g*).
In addition, it's my first language ^_^.
About redesigning your website... I don't really know, but I guess the current layout is ok.

Those are some goals to attain. If you do, I will be duly impressed. Of course, it probably doesn't mean much coming from a girl who never even flew in an airplane until she was 35.
