Fluffy Musings Of A Southern Transplant Posing As A Lipstick Librarian...

13 January 2007

Oh Yeah

Here I am with our newly "primped" bookcart! (That strange glow emanating from the undercarriage is intentional - it is supposed to be a souped up hot rod - yeah baby.) So, I entered the boys into the contest and we'll see what happens. If nothing else, it was a fun project! It's funny, though, I had absolutely ZERO chick participation in this. Well, I'll be doing a girly program in mid-February, so I guess it works out.

The girly project is one I'm excited about, too. It is in celebration of the fourth Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants book, called Forever in Blue. I'm one of four other neighbor libraries and we are each having our own "pants" decorating party (paint, beads, ribbons, and whatnot). We are also each decorating a side of a pair of "traveling" pants and letting the pair travel with the program. Pretty sweet idea (again, not mine - dang it!).

Well, if you want to see more pictures of the cart and my tweeners hard at work on it, go here. And if you're feeling generous, buy me a shirt! Heh.

Is it supposed to be "primp" and not "pimp"?

It is "supposed" to be pimp, yes. The library powers weren't happy with the word choice, so in order to have the program, I had to change the name.

It looks great! They did a great job. Their boy pose is so typical, I have several of my 14 year old brother and his friends posing like that!
